“Listen” to Me with Filmmaker Erahm Christopher

“True active listening begins with creating a safe environment. In my film, I wanted the audience to take a direct bird's eye view of what's going on in (the high school students’) life before they get on campus, so they understand a little bit better about why the students are acting the way they are in school."

There's a lot of hearing in schools. Echoing hallways, lockers slamming, teachers talking, students playing. Yet there’s not enough listening going on. And this is where Erahm Christopher’s work matters most.

His film, “LISTEN”, stimulates deeply proactive conversation thanks to the strength of its message about the need to be listened to. LISTEN tackles the question of what happens when we don’t listen to our children. And it does so with empathy, grace and beauty. View it and see for yourself: buylistentoday.com. Every school should screen this powerful and accessible film and discuss it afterwards.
