K-12 Reboot Retreat

On Sunday, January 26th, Reach Academics hosted its first Mid-Year “Reboot Retreat” for K-12 faculty at Mirman School. It was a fantastic event!

Expert MFT Dr. Robin Berman started the event with a firestarter speech about the power of love in teaching. Lorri Palko (Love, Money, Purpose, LLC) walked participants through the change cycle and partnered with Nat on the role of authenticity in relational teaching. Yogi and ed technologist Matthew Arnold led an hour-long meditation and yoga session. After lunch, Nat guided participants through a session on teacher-student relationships and on collegial relationships. We wrapped with an exercise on gratitude that focused on specific take-aways from the day.

We were focused and well-fed, thanks to Mendocino Farms, Corner Bakery, and Mirman’s own coffee roast from Huntington Beach!
